For trees over houses, driveways, fences and utility lines where nothing can simply be dropped. Every section is rigged and lowered under control, or lifted clear by crane so the load never touches your roof. This is the work that separates a removal outfit from a trimming service, and the rigging plan is settled before a saw starts.

Treasure Valley wind events and wet snow loading produce hanging limbs, split unions and partially uprooted trees that are unstable and unsafe to walk under. Clearing for new construction, additions, driveways and shop builds. We plan around what stays: root zones, soil compaction limits and machine access routes for the trees you want to keep. You get a cleared site, and the survivors do not quietly pay for it over the following three years.

Before you pay anybody to remove a tree, work out whose tree it actually is. In Boise that answer sometimes saves a homeowner the entire cost of the job. We would rather tell you than take the work.
Street trees, usually the ones in the planting strip between sidewalk and curb, fall under the Boise Tree Ordinance. Under that ordinance the City of Boise is responsible for removing dead, diseased or hazardous trees from public rights-of-way at no cost to the adjacent homeowner.
If you think a street tree qualifies, contact Boise Community Forestry and ask for a free inspection. If they agree, a public notice goes up on the tree, and removal follows, though not always quickly.
It is not automatic. If the city does not consider removal warranted, it will not be permitted.
Two situations need a conversation first. Boundary trees shared with a neighbor carry shared responsibility, and some subdivisions and HOAs have their own tree rules that sit on top of city code.

It depends on where the tree stands. Trees inside your property line are generally yours to remove. Street trees in the public right-of-way are handled through the city and are not yours to take down independently. We answer emergency calls 24 hours a day. For an active hazard such as a tree on a structure or a hanging limb over a walkway, the priority is making the site safe. Full removal is often scheduled as a return visit once the immediate danger is handled.
Usually only when the tree has already fallen and damaged something covered, and often up to a capped amount. A tree that falls and hits nothing, or a standing tree you know is dangerous, is normally not covered. We document storm removals with dated photos so you have what an adjuster will ask for.
